A coalition of 87 Lincolnshire business leaders has written an open letter to the Transport Secretary demanding urgent improvements to rail services in and out of Lincoln.
Key demands
- Hourly direct service to London King's Cross (currently 2-hourly)
- Journey time reduced from 2h10m to under 1h45m
- Half-hourly service to Nottingham and Newark
- Sunday service improvements
The letter argues that poor connectivity is the single biggest barrier to Lincoln's continued economic growth.
