The View from Lincoln Cathedral Tower at Sunrise
There are few views in England that rival the panorama from the central tower of Lincoln Cathedral. On a clear spring morning, you can see the Wolds rolling to the east, the Trent Valley stretching west, and the spires of Newark 20 miles to the south.
The cathedral's tower tours restart this Easter, with a new dawn slot at 5:30am on selected Saturdays throughout the summer. We were among the first to experience it.
A city transformed
From 271 feet up, the transformation of Lincoln's skyline over the past decade is striking. The university campus, the Brayford development, the Science and Innovation Park — all visible reminders of a city that's investing in its future while honouring its past.
