University of Lincoln Partners with Local Firms on AI Research
The University of Lincoln has launched a three-year, £3 million applied artificial intelligence programme in partnership with 12 Lincolnshire businesses.
The AI for Local Enterprise (AILE) programme will embed postdoctoral researchers directly within participating companies to develop bespoke AI solutions.
Participating projects
- Computer vision for quality control in food packaging
- NLP tool for automating insurance claims triage
- Predictive maintenance for agricultural equipment
The programme will also fund 12 new PhD studentships, with students splitting time between the university and their industry partner.
